Is being gay a phase young people go through?

For some people, yes, and some do not.

Some people have their first experience of homosexual feelings or until they are adults. In a survey of sexual feelings in the UK, about the same number of women who reported their first homosexual experience had happened in the twenties and thirties, forties and fifties.

It is clear that for some people homosexual experiences are part of a transitional or experimental in their youth. This is hardly surprising given that adolescence is a period of change, many people discover who they are and what they want for themselves in adulthood. This kind of behavior is normal.
