Are You Born Gay? What Makes People To Be Gay?

There is no simple answer to the question: "Some people are born gay or lesbian? There are some theories that emphasize biological differences between heterosexual and homosexual adults, suggesting that people are born with their sexuality already determined.

U.S. researcher Dean Hamer published research seems to prove that homosexual orientation could be genetically transmitted to men on the X chromosome, where they receive from their mothers. However, when this study was repeated did not produce the same results. A follow-up also helped to strengthen Hamer trajectory.

Subsequent research published by George Rice and George Ebers of the Universty of Western Ontario has cast doubt on the theory of Hamer. Rice and Ebers study also tested in the same region of chromosome X in a large sample of men gays, but failed to find the same "marker" that research had found Hamer. Allegations that the part of the brain called the hypothalamus is influential in determining sexual orientation is not yet substantiated. It is generally believed that biological explanations of sexuality are insufficient to explain the variety of human sexuality.

Psycho-social explanations offer a variety of factors that may contribute to a person being gay. For example, female-dominated education is a gay man of the past, this is a role model. Others stress adherence or compliance of gender roles, and individual psychological makeup.13 Although none of these factors can fully answer the question "what causes gay sexuality?" Excluding a few things. For example, young lesbians and gay men are not "failed" by heterosexual. Gay sexual partners are usually the same old assumptions prove incorrect, that young people are "turned gay" for the elderly.

What is clear is that people's behavior affects the family, security, experience and sense of self. Beliefs about sex are initially shaped by family values. Later, these beliefs can be formulated as a pleasant and unpleasant experiences of sex and also shape the choice of activities and partners. Their entire life cycle of a person a sense of who and what a great impact on their sexual development and experience.
